Everyone in my family has always loved coffee and when they first found out there was a dessert made with coffee, whipped cream, and cookies, they simply had to try it! The first time we tried tiramisu was around 2017 at a not-so-authentic Italian restaurant and we were in love! During the lockdown, we wanted to make Tiramisu at home, but couldn't since we didn't have the right ingredients for the recipe, after moving here, we were finally able to make this scrumptious recipe and it turned out AMAZING!

Information:

  • Preparation time: 20 minutes

  • Chill time: 5 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

  • An 8-ounce container of mascarpone cheese, room temperature

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cup cold espresso

  • 1 pack of ladyfinger cookies

  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  • Add whipping cream to a mixing bowl and beat on medium speed for around 4 minutes. Slowly add sugar and vanilla essence and continue until stiff peaks start forming.

  • Add the mascarpone cheese and fold in until combined. Set aside.

  • Add the cold espresso to a shallow bowl. Dip the ladyfingers in the coffee, don't soak them, just a quick dip to get them wet on both sides. Lay the ladyfingers in a single layer of an 8x8 inch pan.

  • Add half of the mascarpone mixture on top and smooth it out. Add another layer of the dipped ladyfingers and the mascarpone mixture.

  • Dust cocoa powder generously over the top. Refrigerate for around 5 hours.

  • Enjoy!!
